$1000 Scholarship

HHI Intellectual Achievement Scholarship is a program designed to assist students with intellectual disabilities who are High School graduating seniors. For students from low-income families, college can be a massive catch-22 and that is why HHI's mission is to eliminate barriers to students with high financial need would have a better chance to break the cycle of generational poverty, and to ensure they have the opportunity to thrive through equitable pathways to education and training.


The scholarships provide with an opportunity to alleviate college costs and have an opportunity to attend college and pursue the type of degree program they need to achieve their personal and professional goals; in spite of any disabilities, or income barriers they may have. The student must be enrolled in an individualized program of study for up to two years at an eligible post-secondary institution.



The scholarship is offered by Helping Hands International, a non-profit organization that provides leadership, life skills development and community resources through training and education. HHI goal is to support individuals and families with learning disabilities and hardships. Each year, the scholarship awards $1000 to outstanding students with high GPA in their program of development.
